“It’s a big question, I somehow left the definition, the very tight definition of it, out, for myself (because I felt it was starting to constrict me and be around me) and I let the practice itself really define it. But I think part of our sense of everything is actually a sense of movement, and then the stillness in the background of that. So for me this is the entity that I refer to as movement, and using that perspective for self evolution, development of course, the physical side, but also movement of emotions, movement of thoughts, and any other movement streams. And by switching these layers and examining it from different places you get a better and better sense of it. I think the visuals nowadays and media are what defines for people in the beginning things, and little by little they can dive deeper. Which is good, there is some aspects, some sexy aspects and some not so sexy aspects. And then you pull on it and you start to examine and dive deeper, and then you receive the gift of finding out more.”

The movement and thought that really drives home the connection between the two is rare. Rareness aside, this is not to say the connection between them is tenuous.
The following will be some testaments to the overlap of these human experiences of movement and thought in the human experience at large.
“And print created a number of ideas which now have to be given up, ideas like the distinct nature, the distinct and unique nature of the individual. The hierarchical, the necessary hierarchical structuring of society, all of these things are going to, if not have to be given up entirely, [be] dramatically modified. Because the illusion that the self has simple location is now exposed. The self does not have simple location. This is why you are your brother’s keeper. This is why we all are responsible for each other. The idea that ‘what happens in distant parts of the world makes no claim on my moral judgment or my moral understanding’, is wrong. The world, as revealed by quantum physics. as revealed by electronic experience is what Leibniz called a plenum, it’s all one thing, it’s all connected, it’s all of a part.”

Thought and movement in the same place and time, a collection of Youtube videos:
Discussion of thought by two sibling writers who in their recent book, Curious Minds: The Power of Connection, liken one type of curiosity to that of a dancer:
Last but not least, of potential note here too is of course Snowball, the dancing cockatoo that Aniruddh Patel and a team have been studying to test a proposition that there is a correlation between dancing and vocal learning species (among a couple other traits).
